You are welcome here
If you are a Kurd looking for a church, or you simply want to know who Jesus is, come as you are. There is a seat for you on Sunday, and someone who speaks your language will be glad to meet you.
Reach out →For Kurds, in our own language
We are a Kurdish Christian church in Amsterdam-Noord and the Kurdish group of Hoop voor Noord. We gather every Sunday to worship in Kurdish, and we welcome Kurds and friends of the Kurds from all over the world.
Why a Kurdish church
You can meet God in the language you dream in.
Faith goes deepest when you hear it in your mother tongue. That is why we worship in Kurdish, with translation into Sorani, Kurmanji and Bahdini, so that every Kurd who comes can follow along and feel at home.

The Kurdish Church is the Kurdish group of Hoop voor Noord, a multicultural church in Amsterdam-Noord for all ages, cultures and languages. We meet in their building and fully belong to that congregation.
That means a steady place, a large community around us, and Kurdish celebrations with a message from the Bible, Kurdish music and food.

Our people
There are 40 to 45 million Kurds across Turkey, Iraq, Iran and Syria, and more than 120,000 in the Netherlands. Very few have ever heard the good news in Kurdish. We exist so that they can.
Kurdish has several dialects. The largest are Kurmanji and Sorani; Bahdini is a form of Kurmanji. Our services offer translation into all three, so everyone can take part.
